On November 9th, 2018 Prof. Nitin Kumar Tripathi, Director of special Degree program along with Mr. Arthur Lance Gonzales, นางชลิตา เลิศวิญญู and นางสาวกาญจนา from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand visited the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University to discuss the opportunity of collaboration on Dual Degree program. The meeting was hosted by the Faculty Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thira Jearsiripongkul.

On November 8th, 2018 Dr. Thira Jearsiripongkul (Faculty Dean) along with other administrators welcomed Dr. I-Kuan Yang, Dr. Chiung-Fen Chang, Dr. Chin-Yin Huang, Dr. Yen-Ping Peng delegates from Tunghai University, Taiwan and Mr. Phathit, Ms. Artidtaya from Lite-On Electronics, Thailand who visited the Faculty of Engineering to discuss the opportunity of future collaboration.

Faculty visitation by the Universities from Laos

On November 7th, 2018 Dr. Soulinhong Xaykosy and Dr. Khoune Sackbouavong from Savannakhet University, Mr. Sihanouvong Savathvong from Souphanouvong University, Dr. Khamphoui Southisombath from National University of Laos, Mr. Viloth Kimala from Champasak University and Mr. Po Insyxiengmay from the Ministry of Education and sports, Lao visited the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University to discuss future collaboration with the faculty. The representatives were welcomed by the Faculty Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thira Jearsiripongkul along with all the other administrators. In the afternoon, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montalee Sasananan, Deputy Dean for International Affairs and Sustainability took the delegates to visit the labs of Asst. Prof. Dr. Bunyong Rungroungdouyboon, Assoc. Prof. Dr Charturong Tantibundhit and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanchai Pijitrojana.

Bangkok Cultural trip for the International students

On 6th September, 2018 the International Affairs office organized a cultural trip to Bangkok for international students and foreign faculty from Japan, India, Nepal and Turkey who are currently present at the Faculty of Engineering.

Prof. Austin Coffey delivered a talk at the Faculty of Engineering, Pattaya Campus

Dr. Austin Coffey, Professor from the Department of Engineering Technology, Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland gave a talk on "Accelerated pace of new product development: from concept to commercialization" at the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, Pattaya Campus on 1 May 2018. Prof. Coffey is also an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, and he regularly visits the Rangsit campus to deliver some seminars to both graduate and undergraduate students.

Faculty of Engineering welcomed representative from UTT - Université de Technologie de Troyes, France.

Assoc. Prof. Dr.Montalee Sasananan, Associate Dean for International Affairs and Sustainability welcomed Mr. Michel LEGAULT representative from UTT - Université de Technologie de Troyes, France on 2nd April 2018 at TEP-TEPE meeting room, Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibility of establishing an exchange program for coursework and research internship between the two universities. UTT will send students to undertake research internship at the Faculty of Engineering for 2-5 months. Engineering students from Thammasat University may also participate in research internship at UTT, and will have the privilege of attending a 4-week intensive class at UTT free of charge in French Language or Project Management subject and transfer the credits to TU.

On October 20th, 2017 at 01.30 am, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thira Jearsiripongkul (Dean of Faculty of Engineering), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montalee Sasananan (Associate Dean for International Affairs and Sustainability), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopadol Uchaipichat (Assistant Dean for Research), Asst. Prof. Dr. Monchai Prukvilailert (Head of Mechanical Engineering), Asst. Prof. Dr. Supachai Vorapojpisut, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nitikarn Nimsuk and Dr. Preeti Ovartchaiyapong welcomed Prof. Dr. Yorinobu Toya, Prof. Dr. Hideaki Aburatani, Prof. Dr. Manabu Shimakawa and Dr. Chiharu Okuma from National Institute of Technology (NIT), who visited the Faculty of Engineering to discuss the progress on Thammasat University’s internship students to Kosen in Japan. They also visited Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charturong Tantibundhit’s laboratory to learn about his prominent work related to biomedical devices.

Faculty of Engineering welcomed professors from Nagaoka University of Technology

On October 10th, 2017 at 9.00 am, Dr. Thira Jearsiripongkul (Dean of Faculty of Engineering), Dr. Montalee Sasananan (Associate Dean for International Affairs and Sustainability), Dr. Warounsak Liamlaem (Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs), and Dr. Krisada Chaiyasarn welcomed Dr. Masato Aketagawa, Dr. Hitoshi Haga, and Dr.Takashi Yukawa from Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT), who visited the Faculty of Engineering to discuss the progress on the double degree program, and to facilitate student engagement in industrial internship. Each year NUT sends 4-5 students to the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University to participate in industrial internship and cultural exchange.

On September 5, 2017 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montalee Sasananan (Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Public Relations) organized Thai classical dance class for foreign students and Thai buddies at the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus. Taught by Mrs. Chamreang Narkbumrung.

Prof. Pornchai Tarkulwaranont (Vice Rector for International Affairs) has accompanied Dr. Dunant Halim, Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering, Faculty Director of Teaching, the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China in a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapat Wangskarn (Dean of Faculty of Engineering), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montalee Sasananan (Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Public Relations) to discuss possible cooperations in various areas at Room 202-2, Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus.

Student interns from IUT of Angoulême presented their research projects

On June 14th, 2017, the following exchange students from IUT of Angoulême, France presented their research projects to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montalee Sasananan, Assistant Dean for Foreign Affairs and Public Relations, Asst. Prof. Dr. Supachai Vorapojpisut, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Dr. Jakkrapun Chuanasa, Department of Mechanical Engineering. 1. Mr. Mathieu Minié (Research supervisor- Asst. Prof. Dr. Supachai Vorapojpisut) Research Topic - Creation of an OBDII Bluetooth Communication Application for Android Smartphone. 2. Mr. Louis-Baptiste Rabillon (Research supervisor- Dr. Jakkrapun Chuanasa) Research Topic - Robot Arm Modelling and Programming IUT of Angoulême, France has been sending students to participate in 2-month research internship projects at the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University since 2016. This year the two students were present during 10th April- 17thJune 2017.

Faculty of Engineering welcomed City University of Hong Kong

On May 26, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montalee Sasananan (Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Public Relations) welcomed Dr. Rosa H. M. Chan, Asst. Prof., Department of Electronic Engineering, City University of Hong Kong. The purpose of visit was to introduce research work and PhD scholarships and discuss possible collaborations. Dr. Rosa also gave lectures on brain-machine interface at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

On April 26, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapat Wangskarn (Dean of Faculty of Engineering), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montalee Sasananan (Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Public Relations) welcomed Prof. Tsutomu Matsumoto, Ph. D., Japanese-Thai kosen, Institute of Engineering and Technology. The purpose of visit is to discuss about MOU contents and possibility of student internship.

Faculty of Engineering welcomed representative from Hiroshima University

On March 29, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapat Wangskarn (Dean of Faculty of Engineering), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montalee Sasananan (Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Public Relations) along with lecturers and students from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering welcomed Prof. Shinichi Namba, Hiroshima University, who visited the Faculty of Engineering to introduce research on plasma and laser diagnostics, with emphasis on nuclear fusion, electronic propulsion (thruster), arc discharge for engineering applications, basic atomic and molecular physics, laser-produced plasma, development of x- ray sources, laser-matter interaction, and laser spectroscopy for diagnostics.
